“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”
― Groucho Marx

Books. The word “Book” maybe a boring one in 21st Century. The age when everyone is so busy consuming the media, spending great times at shops and malls, playing video games, chilling out with friends and who knows a thousand more interesting stuff. I mean who seriously would leave all those enjoyable moments and turn towards a bunch of pages.

But believe me it’s not jut a bunch of pages, it’s a treasure which you should discover. The benefit that is in the book and the knowledge you’ll acquire after reading a book no matter what type of, be it a Novel or a Biography or educational. It does not matter, the thing is you’ll gain something after reading it. After reading a book neither you not the book will be the same as before. Believe me the super source of enjoyment, happiness and satisfaction lies not in cartoons, not in movies, not in shopping, not in chilling out. The ultimate destination you’ll find yourself once you’ve gained happiness and once you’ve really started enjoying is when you open a book and start understanding it not reading it but UNDERSTANDING.

Definitely it will take time to adjust to reading books regularly specially in this so called modern age where everyone you see is busy surfing the internet, updating profile pictures on facebook and so on. It’s quite hard to cope with the peer-pressure that a person will face, your once true friends may ridicule you for detaching yourself from the fast moving world and social media and start reading books but who cares about what people say, know this that in the long run it’s you who’s going to have a reason to speak and interact. Reading books won’t simply go in vain it will be helpful atleast once in your long run for life.

“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”
― William StyronConversations with William Styron

Books are what help you achieve the possible when the same thing for others looks impossible, we are just unable to separate success from reading, from understanding what the author says. You are the worker, your will to read the book are the building blocks and the book itself is the cement that ultimately helps the building stand firm.

Do try it once, search for a book, a book that is of your interest and useful, read it with full attention and use your imagination and you’ll see what pleasure I was talking about.
